Transition to school
Children leaving KiwiLearners are competent and confident learners, well equipped for the new learning challenges of their next learning environnment. During children’s time at KiwiLearners they participate in learning experiences that connect well with the teaching and learning approaches of schooling.

These include:
  • Teacher facilitated activity and tasks
  • Working with peers in small groups
  • Taking responsibility for their own belongings and work
  • Familiarity with a planned schedule of activity
  • Expectation of focused engagement.
  • KiwiLearners staff work with each child and family to support their transition to school. KiwiLearners has a relationship with a number of local schools and can provide parents with information about these schools. . We believe that school is a natural follow-on to all the work and play done at KiwiLearners
